Terms & Conditions

This document sets out the operational, behavioural, safety, privacy, and regulatory framework governing use of the Platform.

Last updated 13 September 2026

1. Scope and Acceptance

This document sets out the comprehensive operational, behavioural, safety, privacy, and regulatory framework governing the use of the Platform, a digital marketplace designed to facilitate the posting, acceptance, and completion of small, non-hazardous tasks (“Jobs”) by individuals aged fourteen to seventeen (“Youth Workers”) for private individuals aged eighteen or over (“Customers”).

The Platform operates solely as an intermediary, providing technological infrastructure to enable communication, job posting, job acceptance, and payment processing. The Platform does not employ Youth Workers, supervise work, guarantee job suitability, or assume responsibility for the safety, legality, or quality of any Job.

By accessing or using the Platform, all users agree to be bound by the entirety of this document. Users who do not agree must immediately discontinue use.

2. Eligibility and Age-Based Task Tiers

Youth Workers must be aged fourteen to seventeen. Age verification may be required.

Youth Workers aged fourteen to fifteen may only accept Light Tasks, defined as tidying, organising, basic non-chemical cleaning, leaf collection, bin assistance, pet care involving non-aggressive animals, simple errands within walking distance, and non-hazardous household assistance. Youth Workers aged fourteen to fifteen are expressly prohibited from heavy lifting exceeding ten kilograms, use of chemicals or solvents, use of machinery or sharp tools, operation of garden machinery, tasks involving ladders, heights, lofts, basements, handling money or valuables, or any environment reasonably deemed hazardous.

Youth Workers aged sixteen to seventeen may accept General Tasks, including all Light Tasks, moderate lifting under twenty kilograms, basic garden work without machinery, and basic household cleaning with mild products. They remain prohibited from professional machinery, electrical, plumbing, gas, or structural work, hazardous materials, or tasks requiring licences or qualifications.

Youth Workers must not accept tasks beyond their physical capability or tasks that appear unsafe.

3. Accounts and Verification

Users must create accounts using accurate personal information. The Platform may require identity verification, age verification, or address confirmation. Accounts containing false or misleading information may be suspended or terminated.

4. Responsibilities of Youth Workers

Youth Workers must only accept Jobs permitted for their age category, must decline Jobs that appear unsafe or unclear, must communicate professionally, and must not enter unsafe environments. Youth Workers must behave respectfully, arrive on time, complete tasks to a reasonable standard, follow safety rules, and communicate professionally.

Youth Workers must not enter unsafe areas, use prohibited tools, engage in inappropriate behaviour, or accept tasks outside the Platform.

5. Responsibilities of Customers

Customers must treat Youth Workers respectfully, provide safe environments, remain present when required, and pay promptly.

Customers must not request unsafe tasks, harass Youth Workers, attempt to bypass the Platform, or provide misleading instructions.

6. Payments and Fees

Payments are processed through the Payment Provider. Customers agree to pay the Job Fee upon confirmation. The Platform deducts the Platform Fee, and Youth Workers receive the remaining amount after job completion. The Platform is not responsible for payment disputes between users.

7. Communication and Safety Reporting

All communication must remain within the Platform. Users must report unsafe behaviour immediately. The Platform may intervene, suspend accounts, or remove Jobs where safety concerns arise.

8. Conduct Standards

All users must behave respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, or abusive conduct is prohibited. Users must not share personal contact details outside the Platform.

9. Personal Data and Privacy

Personal Data is collected for account creation, verification, job posting, and payment processing. The Platform collects Personal Data including names, emails, addresses, ages, and job history. Data is used for account management, safety verification, and payment processing. Data is stored securely and used only for Platform operations. Data is not sold.

Users may request deletion of their data subject to legal requirements. Users must not attempt to access or misuse others’ data. Further detail on how we collect, use, and protect Personal Data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Complaints, Disputes, and Guardian Oversight

Users may submit complaints through the Platform. The Platform will review complaints and may mediate disputes. The Platform is not liable for unresolved disputes between users.

Parents or guardians may request oversight of Youth Worker accounts. The Platform may provide summaries of job activity where appropriate.

11. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not circumvent age restrictions, post unsafe or unlawful tasks, misuse the Platform, attempt to hack or disrupt services, or engage in off-platform agreements.

12. Suspension, Termination, and Removal

The Platform may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose safety risks, or engage in unlawful behaviour. The Platform may remove Jobs, restrict access, or take other reasonable actions to protect users.

13. Intellectual Property

The Platform retains ownership of all intellectual property, including branding, logos, interface design, and system architecture. Users may not copy, distribute, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform.

14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The Platform does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or availability.

The Platform is not liable for injury, loss, damage, or disputes arising from interactions between users, nor for property damage, incomplete work, or misconduct by Customers or Youth Workers.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Regulatory Notice

This document is provided for operational and informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. Any real-world legal enforcement of these Terms would require review by a qualified solicitor and compliance with UK law, including youth employment regulations, consumer protection law, and data protection law (UK GDPR).
