How it works

Three simple steps, whichever side you’re on

The same platform serves both neighbours who need help and young people who want to earn — with safety built into every step.

01

Post a job or browse nearby

Customers describe a small task — the leaves, the bins, a dog walk. Young workers browse jobs near them, already filtered for their age.

02

Match with a trusted local

Workers apply with a short note. You see their rating, verified ID and completed jobs, then pick who feels right. Guardians are looped in for under-16s.

03

Get it done — and paid safely

Chat stays on the platform. When the job’s done, payment is released from the customer’s card to the worker’s wallet, with a receipt for both sides.

Matched to you

Nearby jobs, filtered for your age category

Pick your age band to see exactly what a worker that age would. It’s the same filter the platform applies automatically once you’re signed in.

Across Scotland

Showing jobs matched to your age category. Younger workers never see unsuitable tasks.

No jobs posted yet

TaskLink is brand new here. Post the first job and workers nearby will see it.

Job categories

What counts as a ‘light’ job, and what needs to be 16+

Every category carries an age tier. Younger workers simply never see the heavier ones.

16+ onlyStandard jobs

Heavier tasks are fine from 16 — as long as the job is still safe and legal, with the right equipment and sensible precautions.

Safety first

Built so a parent would be comfortable saying yes

Safeguarding isn’t a page in the footer — it’s the product. Here’s what’s working in the background on every job.

Age-appropriate by default

14–15 year-olds only ever see light jobs. Heavier tasks with tools, chemicals or lifting are 16+ and filtered out automatically.

Conversations stay on-platform

All messaging happens here. Sharing phone numbers or addresses is discouraged and auto-flagged so there’s always a record.

Money handled by Stripe

Customers pay by card. Funds are held until the job is marked complete, then released to the worker’s wallet. No cash, no chasing.

A community, not a gig app

Real ratings, real neighbours. Harassment, unsafe requests and off-platform pressure get accounts removed.

Jamie has raked our leaves and sorted the garage twice now. He’s polite, careful, and it’s lovely knowing a neighbour’s kid is earning instead of a faceless app.

I’m 15 so I only see the lighter jobs, which my mum was happy about. I’ve done dog walks and tidying after school and saved up £120 for a bike.

The sign-off step and in-app messages made me comfortable letting my daughter try it. I can see her jobs and messages, and she manages her own earnings.

Posted a moving-help job on a Friday, had three local 16–17 year olds apply by the evening. Boxes shifted on Saturday. Paid in a couple of taps.

As a college student the flexible pressure-washing and garden jobs fit around my timetable. Everything stays on the platform so there’s never any awkwardness about pay.

Reported a listing that asked for loft-ladder work. It was pulled within the hour and re-posted correctly as 16+. That response is why I trust it.
